Songs make such an incredible impact on the feel of your wedding video! They set the tone for the clips, evoke emotion, and add even more personality to the story of your big day. If you would like to, we would love for you to choose the songs that will make this video truly yours. We also give you the option of deferring the selection to our amazingly talented editing team. They have a lot of experience with wedding videos and can choose songs that will compliment the video clips of your big day. It's up to you! Whichever route you choose, just be aware that copyright laws are very strict regarding the use of music in wedding videos.

We can only use songs we can legally license.
WHAT IS MUSIC LICENSING?
Music licensing is the process of acquiring the legal rights to use someone else's song/work. Music is considered intellectual property, and can’t be stolen or used at any time without proper permission. Using a song without the proper license could result in fines, content removal, or even lawsuits.
HOW CAN I CHOOSE SONGS?
We have subscriptions to five different music sites from which you may select your songs.
We cannot use songs from YouTube, Spotify playlists or iTunes library.
WHAT IF I SEE A VIDEO WITH A SONG I WANT?
We want you to have the wedding video of your dreams.
But there are a few reasons why certain songs may be unavailable for us to use for your video.

A song was licensable and used for a previous TMT Weddings video but the artist/record label recently changed their licensing agreement and is therefore not available anymore.

Whoever posted the video incorporating the song entered into a detailed legal agreement and may have paid a lot of money to use that specific song.

They may be using the song illegally! ​​​

CAN I USE THIS SONG IF I DON'T POST THE VIDEO TO SOCIAL MEDIA?
Music is and always has been protected by copyright laws. These laws still apply regardless of the video’s purpose. Delivering a video with unlicensed music – whether for personal use or even for private family viewing – can still lead to legal repercussions. But remember, any music that is played at your wedding (first dance, reception music, etc.)
will be available in your RAW footage.

In order to help with the song selection process, we have subscriptions to five different music sites from which you may select your songs. You don't need to download anything, just let us know what you decide! You can list your song selections or indicate that you'd like the editors to choose for you on your Wedding Details Page. There you can also list any other info that you would like us to share with the editors.

Go to your Wedding Details page and in the Videography section you can list the songs you would like used in your edited video. You also have the option to list favorite genres and have our professional editors choose songs that go well with your footage. Be sure to click on the little pencil icon in the upper right hand corner to allow for editing on the page. ​​
